A Successful Statewide Shutdown

The state-wide bandh organized by the BC JAC demanding a fair share in BC reservations was observed successfully across Telangana.
From Somajiguda Press Club gate to Hyderabad Junction, a massive rally and padayatra were held under the leadership of the BC Reservations Sadhana Samakhya JAC, with the participation of 40 caste associations, marking a historic beginning to the statewide bandh.
Except for essential services, all other sectors participated in the bandh. From Khairatabad Junction to Hitech City, BC JAC leaders staged a car rally protest. Business establishments, educational institutions, and RTC buses came to a halt, paralyzing public transport across the state.
The JAC leaders stated that the movement began to protect social justice, eradicate inequalities, and realize equal opportunities and representation as enshrined in the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
They said that every individual from the BC communities has joined hands for their rights, reservations, upliftment, unity, self-respect, and for achieving social, economic, and political equality. The movement, they asserted, will ultimately pave the way toward achieving political power for BCs.
Ideological awareness, youth involvement, and the active participation of women will stand as the main strengths of this movement, the JAC added.
Every village, mandal, and town echoed with one slogan —
“Justice for BCs! Reservations in proportion to population!”
The JAC declared that with the spread of BC ideology, awakening, and action plan, this movement will create a new chapter in social history.
Calling upon BCs to realize the power of their vote, the JAC appealed: “With the diamond weapon given by Ambedkar — the power of the vote — we must rewrite our destiny. The slogan ‘BC Vote for BCs’ must resonate from the village level to the national level.”
The leaders further said that only through the dissemination of BC ideological consciousness can golden paths be laid for future generations.
They concluded by asserting, “This is not merely a movement for social justice — it is a historic renaissance.”
