Semi-Christmas Celebrations Held at Aavasa Hotel

As the city ushers in the Christmas season, semi-Christmas celebrations were held on Thursday at Aavasa Hotel in Madhapur, reflecting a blend of festive spirit and social responsibility. The event brought together 100 orphaned children and persons with disabilities from Jeevodaya Home, who participated in the celebrations alongside organisers and guests.

Dundra Kumara Swamy, Chairman of Blissberg – Future of Hope and National President of the BC Dal, attended the programme as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the life and teachings of Jesus Christ transcend religious boundaries and continue to offer moral guidance to humanity at large. Values such as compassion, equality, peace and respect for human dignity, he observed, remain central to addressing many of the challenges faced by contemporary society.

Referring to the teachings of Christ, Mr. Kumara Swamy noted that empathy towards the vulnerable, love for fellow human beings, forgiveness, patience, charity and sacrifice were enduring principles that shaped a more humane social order. He described Jesus Christ as a universal symbol of peace and reconciliation.

The event was organised under the aegis of Blissberg – Future of Hope, a social service organisation focused on inclusive community engagement. Dr. Nirmala Gudapati founder and  Chairman  SHEEP NGO, Jeevodaya home for children  and representatives of the Aavasa Hotel sagar raot  management were also present on the occasion.

As part of the programme, a special lunch was hosted at the hotel for the children from Jeevodaya Home. Addressing the gathering later, Mr. Kumara Swamy remarked that public recognition, social status or material wealth alone did not guarantee genuine happiness. Acts of service and compassion, he said, were essential for inner fulfilment and social harmony.

He added that the teachings of Jesus Christ continued to serve as a moral compass not only for individual growth but also for the collective well-being and ethical progress of society.
