Hyderabad: The internationally reputed organization Blissberg – Future of Hope organised the Ugadi Awards ceremony with grandeur at Cyber Gateway in Hitech City, Madhapur. On the occasion, professionals who have rendered distinguished services in various fields—including Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and software development—were honoured with Ugadi Awards.

The event was attended as Chief Guest by Dundra Kumaraswamy, National President of BC Dal and Chairman of the BC Reservations Achievement Coordination JAC. A large number of IT professionals and young innovators from across the country participated in the celebrations. Dr Vinay sarkonda participated in this event.

As part of the Ugadi festivities, software professionals and technology experts gathered at Cyber Gateway in traditional attire and enthusiastically celebrated the festival. The programme featured rangoli competitions, traditional games, and cultural activities reflecting the richness of Telugu heritage. Winners of various competitions were felicitated with awards, while individuals who have made notable contributions in their respective fields were also honoured with Ugadi recognitions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dundra Kumaraswamy highlighted the cultural and philosophical significance of Ugadi.

“Ugadi marks the sacred beginning of creation and heralds the start of a new year. It is a day that inspires new hopes, fresh ideas, and renewed determination in our lives. The festival stands as a living symbol of our culture, traditions, and time-honoured customs. Celebrating such an occasion through traditional attire, games, and cultural programmes reflects the pride and continuity of our heritage,” he said.

Emphasising the deeper message of the festival, he noted that Ugadi reminds people to learn from the past and build the future with courage and determination.

“Young people must set clear goals in life and pursue them with firm resolve. Education is the most powerful tool to fight poverty, injustice, and inequality. It strengthens self-respect and opens doors to opportunities and leadership. Therefore, education must be embraced as a powerful instrument for progress,” he observed.

Kumaraswamy further urged the youth to value time and use it productively.
“If time is used wisely, the future becomes bright. Hard work, discipline, and perseverance are the foundations of success,” he said.

Calling upon young people to contribute to social progress, he added that unity among youth can bring about meaningful transformation in society.

“Unity is the greatest strength. Leadership must emerge from the youth. Along with personal progress, society too must advance. Young people should come forward to work for the upliftment of the underprivileged and weaker sections,” he stated.

Encouraging young minds to be confident and courageous, Kumaraswamy concluded by saying that belief in oneself is essential for success and that bold aspirations combined with hard work have always driven historical change.

“Ugadi is not merely the beginning of a new year—it represents new ideas, new resolve, and a new future. Let us pledge on this Ugadi to move forward as a generation that transforms not only our own lives but also the society we live in,” he said.
